Accessibility statement
We want this site to work for everyone who visits it, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard, or a browser set to larger text.
What we aim for
This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
How the site is built
Every page opens with a skip link to the main content, uses a single top-level heading, and runs its headings in order so the page structure can be navigated. Images carry alternative text, or are marked as decorative where a caption already describes them.
Every colour pair on the site has been measured against the contrast minimums, including the text over photographs and the lighter text on the dark bands. The smallest ratio anywhere on the site is 4.8 to 1, against a requirement of 4.5 to 1.
Keyboard and screen reader
Everything interactive can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and shows a visible focus outline in both light and dark sections. The services menu opens on hover and on keyboard focus, and closes with the Escape key.
On a phone, the navigation panel keeps focus inside itself while it is open, hides the rest of the page from screen readers, closes with Escape, and returns focus to the button that opened it.
Movement
The scrolling reviews on the homepage have a pause button and stop for anyone whose system is set to reduce motion. The countdown on the form confirmation page can be stopped, and it is only shown when the script that runs it has loaded.
Zoom and text size
The layout reflows to a single column without horizontal scrolling down to a 320 pixel width, which corresponds to 400% zoom on a standard desktop screen. Increasing text size or overriding line and letter spacing does not clip or overlap the content.
Third-party components
Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact form is supplied by Cloudflare, and the reviews widget on the testimonials page is supplied by Elfsight. The accessibility of both is controlled by those companies rather than by us, and neither is covered by the conformance claim above.
Where we know there is more to do
Testing so far has been automated checks plus manual keyboard review. A full screen reader pass on the services menu, the FAQ accordion, and the reviews carousel is still outstanding, and anything it turns up will be listed here and fixed.
